HOW TO MAKE PUBLIC COMMENT IN SUPPORT OF ACCENT MEDIA’S APPLICATION FOR .TICKETS

Comments may only be submitted on the ICANN website and all comments will be publicly

searchable.

The window for submitting public comment closes on 12 August.

Here’s how you make submissions:

1. Go to https://gtldcomment.icann.org/applicationcomment/login and

you will first need to register as a user before you can submit comments.

2. Once registered, you will be directed to a webpage. On this page, please select the following

information:

Applicant: Accent Media Limited

String: TICKETS

Panel/Objection Ground: Community

Subject: [As you see fit, but for example write “support for Accent Media’s application”]

3. You will be asked to submit your comment & rationale – there is a 3,500 characters limit.

You may wish to provide:

- A short explanation of the body you represent – perhaps giving your website address

- A statement in support of our application – you may wish to refer to any or all of the

following, as you see fit:

  • We share Accent Media’s vision for a safe and secure environment for the ticketing industry
  • Accent Media’s application is adopting a socially responsible use for a powerful and descriptive top level domain
  • Accent Media is the only independent applicant for the .tickets domain
  • Accent Media has a very specific business model, the objective of which is to address a major concern, online ticket fraud
  • Accent Media is managed by individuals with broad experience and there is broad and extensive understanding amongst those individuals of the diverse aspects of the ticketing industry, including its challenges and ambitions
  • Accent Media has actively engaged with the entertainment ticketing industry, including our own organisation in its pursuit of the .tickets domain
  • We trust Accent Media to operate the .tickets domain in a fair and objective manner for the benefit of the ticketing industry and consumers
  • We believe that only Accent Media’s application has consumer protection and the prevention of online fraud at its heart
  • We support Accent Media’s innovative proposal, which will ensure that consumers visiting a .tickets website have confidence that the website is safe one from which to purchase tickets
  • We support Accent Media’s proposal to create a secure, independent, open and authorised domain for authentic ticket
  • We do not believe that the other applicants for the .tickets domain share Accent Media’s social purpose that encourages cross- sector participation and transcends local commercial interests and jurisdictions with a clear, independent solution to online ticket fraud
  • We believe that Accent Media will act responsibly in operating the .tickets domain
  • We trust Accent Media to operate the .tickets domain in a responsible and fair manner and they will help to build consumer trust in the ticketing industry and transactions on the Internet more generally
  • Of all the applicants for the .tickets domain, we believe that Accent Media is best placed to promote consumers and promote the ticketing industry
  • We fully support Accent Media’s application for the .tickets domain
